Day 52

No workout today but tomorrow for sure.

Day 51

I’m kind of sad that I can’t go workout with the trainer tomorrow. Other responsibilities are requiring my time in the evening. I have considered going early in the morning but I would have to be there about 6am to have time to exercise, clean up and then be on time to my nutrition class. Hmmm, I may have to think about that tonight. It could be a good option.

Day 50

The workout was good but it made me want to throw up. I guess that means I worked hard. As long as I’m making progress, right?

Day 47

This week I have gained two pounds. I’m not going in the right direction so I have got to get that fixed.

The happy thought today is that I jogged (yes, only jogged) for 11 minutes without stopping to rest/walk. I have never jogged for that long at one time before.

I need to keep an eye out for the silver lining instead of focusing on the negatives.

Day 46

Tuesday’s trainer workout he made us do the “insanity” workout. Last night, it was all weight lifting. You never know what you are going to get from him but that is a good thing. Steve has never had us do the same workout twice. It has been a good thing for us.

Day 42

I haven’t weighed myself yet but I don’t think this will be a week that I will lose any weight.

I will stay positive.

I’m starting a new week and I will work hard to make up for the past week. This happens so I won’t let it get me down.

Day 37

What I learned today…I need to eat more vegetables and I need a new belt.

Day 34

I have lost twelve pounds! Yeah for me. I realize that the true focus of this program is to improve my heart and overall health but I will take the weight loss as a great side effect.

Each Thursday morning we have a nutrition class. I feel like each week the class gets better and better. The topic last week was “intuitional eating” or listening to your body to know what it needs and when it has eaten enough. I have been trying to pay more attention to how my body feels lately and I hope that the more I try to listen the better I will do.

One thing I have learned is that when I really crave a Coke my body is just telling me that I am really thirsty. Sad that I have trained my brain to scream, “you need a Coke, right now!” And really if I just drink plenty of water during the day I don’t even think about getting a soda.

So much to learn and we are already a third of the way through the challenge.

Day 24

Sadly, I did not workout today. I was planning on it but other forces were at work today.

New plan…get up early, workout, work for an hour (at least) and then take the rest of the day off. There is so much to do tomorrow it will feel like the nonstop workout.

We are going to Winter Youth Conference. I think hiking a half mile in the mountains to our camp site while dragging my own gear will be a great way to burn more calories tomorrow.

Hopefully it will help make up for lost opportunities from today.
